Richmond Food Bank

FoodBankDid you know that Richmond has a Food Bank? It’s located at St. Paul’s United church and covers the village of Richmond and it’s rural area as well as Munster; a population of about 5000.

The food bank regularly assists about 8 – 10 families per week and on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving in excess of 30 families.

The Food Bank is unfortunately currently experiencing increased demand. Items needed include:
Cheez Whiz, Peanut Butter, Pancake Mix, Pancake Syrup
Ketchup, Mustard, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Kraft Dinner
SideKicks, Canned pasta, Canned soups, all kinds
Canned beans, Canned Salmon, Canned Tuna
Minute Rice, Muffin mix, Cookies, Crackers
Also, note that any school snacks such as granola bars or fruit
snacks would be appreciated

If you would like to contribute to the Food Bank there are drop-off boxes for non-perishable items at the Richmond Post Office and King’s “Your Independent Grocer”,  5911 Perth St., Richmond.
